Scarlet Barnette is a distinguished Fight Director rooted in New York City, bringing a rich heritage of Iraqi and Armenian origins. Recognized with the esteemed rank of Advanced Actor Combatant by the Society of American Fight Directors, Scarlet's extensive theater background spans across a myriad of roles, from Fight Choreography and Acting to Stage Management. While he has showcased versatility in every theatrical capacity, his profound passion is unmistakably evident in his role as an instructor. At The New York Performing Arts Academy, he holds the position of the Stage Combat/Movement Instructor. Scarlet is dedicated to nurturing eager students in the nuances of Stage Combat and is especially keen on incorporating the diverse voices of the SWANA region, enriching the Academy's tapestry of teachings.
