The PALS course is for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units, such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, and others, who need a PALS course completion card for job or other requirements.
This course can be done for initial PALS certification or renewal but, is NOT recommended for first time PALS students. This is a Hybrid course with an online portion done through the American Heart Association, which can take anywhere from 4-6 hours, and an in class skills testing portion, which take 1-2 hours.
After completion of the online portion, students attend a structured ACLS hands-on skills session with an AHA ACLS Instructor. The skills session is required in order to complete the training and receive your Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification card.
Upon course completion:
- PALS course completion card authorized by the American Heart Association, valid for two years.
- Certificate of Continuing Education
Note:
The price is for the hands-on skills session only. You will need to signup for the online portion of the course through the American Heart Associations website for a separate fee.
School Notes: All of the courses that we have students sign up for through CourseHorse are skills sessions. Skills sessions require that the student complete an online testing portion through the American Heart Association, that online testing portion is a separate charge from our class fee for facilitating the skills session in the class room.
We offer full provider classes that are all done in class without the need to complete an online test before the class starts.
